Join Sam and a gang of Broadway's best for an exciting preview of multiple new musicals in development. It will be an afternoon of pop rock, laughter and catharsis. Enjoy one-of-a-kind songs about outcasts, LGBT heroes, teenage romance, rock 'n roll housewives, mad scientists and more.
The all-star cast for this fantastic performance includes Barrett Wilbert Weed (Heathers, Found), Taylor Trensch (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Bare), AJ Shively (Bright Star, La Cage Aux Folles), Ato Blankson-Wood (Hair, The Total Bent), Jon Rua (Hamilton), Shakina Nayfack (Hulu's Difficult People), Preston Sadleir (Next to Normal), Michael Linden (Spring Awakening tour), Bonnie Milligan (God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater) Larry Owens (Fat Camp), Noah Zachary (Poster Boy) and more.
Sam Salmond is a Brooklyn-based composer, lyricist and bookwriter. He is currently writing music and lyrics for an adaptation of Eighty-Sixed, the novel by humorist and AIDS activist, David Feinberg. The show recently had a developmental reading at Second Stage Theatre. He is the creator of Uncool: the Party, an immersive night of rock n'roll, games, stories and dancing, which was workshopped at CAP21 and Musical Theatre Factory. His musical Mother, Me and the Monsters was produced at Barrington Stage. He wrote book and lyrics for Cage Match, produced at Prospect Theater, and contributed songs to Shakina Nayfack's One Woman Show and Post-Op, produced at Palo Alto Theatreworks and The Wild Project. Sam's work has been featured at Lincoln Center, Ars Nova, Symphony Space, Joe's Pub, 54 Below, Two Rivers Theater and all around the country. |
