The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC) presents the 24th Annual Tribute Dinner. This year's honorees are Andrea Bolender, a member of HMTC's Board of Directors; Steven Dubner, founder of Steven Dubner Landscaping, Inc.; David B. Samadi, M.D., a Urologic Oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering; and Emily Berkowitz and Ilise Friedman, Holocaust educators at HMTC.
Dr. Deborah Dwork, Rose Professor of Holocaust History and Founding Director of the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University, will be the special keynote speaker. She will discuss "We Were Strangers: Refugees Then and Now."
Sponsors of the dinner are Cameron Engineering, The Claire Friedlander Family Foundation, Frank and Flora Lalezarian and the Skolnick Family Charitable Trust. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available. All proceeds from the dinner to to support HMTC's Holocaust, anti-bias, tolerance and anti-bullying programming. |
