The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC) presents a special program, "The Unrelenting Genocide of the Yazidi and Our Call for Upstanders," featuring a documentary film screening of "Hawar: My Journey to Genocide," followed by a discussion with producer Düzen Tekkal, a German-Yazidi activist.
The 20-minute documentary film is about the ongoing genocide of the Yazidi by the Islamic State. Producer Düzen Tekkal,is an award-winning TV journalist who works for RTL and ZDF. |
