Every year, Mill Neck Family's Fall Harvest Festival draws tens of thousands of returning visitors and many more new friends. The Festival annually brings the best of the autumn season to Long Island, making a trip to the beautiful Mill Neck campus over Columbus Day weekend irresistible. The 2018 Fall Festival promises to be better than ever, with the return of ripe apples, handmade country crafts, seasonable produce, grilled bratwurst, children's activities and many more activities throughout the weekend.
Located on the grounds of a historic Gold Coast estate, between Oyster Bay and Bayville, the Festival, also known as the Apple Fest, has it all. Visitors will find a wide variety of cheeses in the "Cheese House" and plenty of mouth-watering baked goods, jellies, fudge and strudels. The "Country Store" also features meat and bacon products.
The children's activities area will feature a fantastic array of games and activities, as well as face painting and a pumpkin patch. The Festival also showcases the latest in Deaf technology, sign language novelty items and books. Each year, Mill Neck Manor alumni attend the Fall Harvest Festival as a "homecoming" with the event bringing the heart of the Long Island Deaf Community together. Be sure to take a chance on our 50/50. Tickets are only $10.00 each and the winner, picked on Sunday at 3:00PM receives half the net profit of the money collected. Over the years, winners have taken home over $10,000.

Mill Neck Manor
Mill Neck Manor, located on the prestigious North Shore of Long Island, is a majestic Tudor Revival mansion. It is set on an 86-acre scenic estate overlooking the Long Island Sound. The mansion, once called Sefton Manor, was owned by Robert Leftwich Dodge and his wife, the cosmetics heiress Lillian Sefton Dodge.
In 1949, Lutheran Friends of the Deaf, the founding group of the Mill Neck Family Organizations, purchased the property from Mrs. Dodge. Today, Mill Neck Manor and all of the surrounding properties on the historic grounds continue to form the Mill Neck Family of Organizations' campus. |
