Dan's Taste of Summer 2016 - Harvest East End Wine Food Classic
Celebrating the Bounty of Long Island Wine Country
Showcasing the wines of East End winemakers paired with the dishes of top regional chefs and the foodcraft of local purveyors at the bucolic McCall Vineyard and Ranch on the North Fork. Organized by Dan's Papers and the Long Island Wine Council, this fun, rustic event celebrates Long Island wine country and benefits important regional charities.
Wine connoisseurs rejoice as the Long Island Wine Council (www.liwines.com) gathers a bevy of the best and brightest winemakers of the East End for this treasured annual celebration of the North and South Fork's wine and food. Hosting for the second year in a row is celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian, culinary director of The Plaza, chef/owner of The Lambs Club, The National in Greenwich, and coming soon to Los Angeles: Georgie and The Garden Bar at Montage Beverly Hills. Zakarian, author of "My Perfect Pantry" and celebrated for being an Iron Chef, judge on Food Network's Chopped, host of Food Network's Cooks vs. Cons and co-host of Food Network's The Kitchen and Top 5 Restaurants, is thrilled to return and be a part of the most tremendous event in Long Island's wine country.
Dan's Harvest East End showcases the wines of more than 40 East End winemakers paired with heavenly bites from 30+ topnotch regional chefs and exceptional local purveyors. Creating the perfect endless summer setting, guests are invited to toast under a beautiful white tent at the enchanting McCall Vineyards and Ranch where over 1,000 people are expected to attend. A portion of this year's ticket proceeds will benefit Harvest East End, a 501(c)(3) charity benefiting various East End Charities. |
