Summer of Science: Salt Marsh Scientists Children Ages 13-17 at Ernst Marine Conservation Center Stony Brook Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Aspire to be an expert of the Salt Marsh. Guided by local marine scientists participants will conduct scientific research monitoring birds, crabs and plants at the heart of an 88-acre wetland preserve at West Meadow Creek, Stony Brook. Along with discovering the populations, communities and biodiversity of the marsh, we will observe concepts like zonation and learn about what we can do to protect the marsh. Participants will
also learn about the diverse field of science related to protecting marine life.
Fee: $225.00 for week. Register by July 30 for the early-bird rate ($210.00). Minimum 10 participants, maximum 15. Two weeks notice is required for all cancellations without penalty. |
