Dance Centre of the Hamptons opened twelve years ago with
one teaching room and one teacher. As a small studio Dance
Centre was able to provide individual attention to each
dancer. Currently with 400 students and 4 teaching rooms, we
are still dedicated to each student, both as a dancer and a
person.
Our teachers are as diversified as the art of dance. Each
one has found their style and the age group that they teach
best, and that's what they teach. Our teachers have danced
on Broadway, in movies and in music videos. They were
trained and continue to take class from the best teachers in
New York City. Their one common philosophy is that teaching
the love of dance is as important as teaching the technique
of dance.
Dance Centre offers our advanced students participation in
intensive company work and competitions. We do not promote a
star system. Hard work and dedication are rewarded.
Regardless of your child's experience, every student
receives our best. Though only a few of our dancers will
pursue dance professionally, all of our students will
benefit from the self-confidence and teamwork that dance
training and performing teaches. These attributes will last
a lifetime.

Welcome to our world of dance & fitness. Open seven days a
week, Dany Holdstein's Two Worlds is conveniently located in
Wheatley Plaza, on the corner of Northern Boulevard and Glen
Cove Road. There is plenty of parking, and for your safety,
visible on site security. Our studios and gym are located up
stairs between the Athlete's Foot and Lazar's Chocolate.
All four of our bright mirrored modern dance / workout
studios have technically advanced "floating" floors, and
state of the art sound systems. Studios have either wood
flooring or Marley covering.
The Gym is fully equipped with free weights, cardio vascular
and weight resistance machines. There are changing rooms for
men and women with lockers and showers.

Rivera's Dance Studio
Dance instructor in the New York Metropolitan area. Over the
past few years, I have shared the stage with many of the
most innovative Latin artists of our time such as the late
Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Tito Nieves and Jose Alberto "El
Canario" to name a few. After learning the art from possibly
the best mambo instructor in the business who goes by the
name Eddie Torres, the love for the music and the passion to
dance inspired me into launching my very own dance school
self titled,
Jorday’s Dance School. Since then and many students later, I
decided to venture out and created my dance company properly
named Mambo’s Finest. And now I offer myself to the world in
Jorday.com. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a
smile. Jorday’s Dance studio is a family run business. Her
sister Tiffany assists Jorday in teaching the classes. Her
mother Daisy takes care of finances. Her father Jorge makes
sure everything runs smoothly and the youngest of all,
Daziann, is in charge of promotions.
There are three instructors during the sessions. All of the
sessions are intense so you definitely get a workout, there
is a lot of energy from both the instructors and the
students. To explain it in one word would be fun. Everyone
in the class is always eager and willing to help anyone that
may be having a problem with a turn pattern or a shine. The
class is divided into three sections: Beginner,
Intermediate, Advanced.

Dance Consortium
The Long Island Dance Consortium (LIDC) was founded in 1997
and is currently facilitated by the Huntington Arts Council
with funding from the New York State Dance Force and New
York State Council on the Arts. Its goal is to keep dance
alive and kicking on Long Island by increasing awareness and
attendance of dance events and related programs in Suffolk
and Nassau Counties. The Consortium promotes all forms of
dance. The Long Island Dance Consortium's goal is to keep

Martha School of Dance
Martha Meredith, a premier ballerina who has performed on
world-famous stages and was trained by the greatest teachers
of ballet, is the founder and owner of Martha Meredith
School of Dance & Theatre. She has been encouraging and
inspiring young performers and talented artists all of her
life. Martha Meredith opened her school of dance in Syosset
over 44 years ago, and with a history of excellence she
continues to offer the best cultural experiences and
education for children, teens, adults and even
professionals. Martha Meredith School of Dance is highly
regarded for its excellent curriculum and instructional
programs, and known for its successful students. The
talented and outstanding teachers at the school really love
their craft and care about their students. The faculty is
dedicated to their art and have traveled to Russia to be
certified by the Russian Kirov Ballet. The top method of
ballet, Russian Vaganova, is taught at the school. Many
students have gone professional, performing at The New York
City Ballet, on Broadway and Off-Broadway. Martha Meredith
is the place to go for acting, singing or dancing. In their
Creative Theatre class, there is singing, musical theatre,
dance and acting for children ages 3 to 5. The school also
offers tap, hip-hop, jazz, classical ballet, technique,
pointe, and many more classes for the older students. A
complete dance program is available for serious students. If

belly dancing studio in October of 1982, introducing the
mysterious world of belly dancing to many students. When you

and sign on the exterior to the exotic interior and Arabian
archway that her husband designed and built himself.
Your magic carpet ride has begun! Sasha holds weekly lessons
which range from beginner to advanced. Students not only
have fun while learning intricate dance movements but entire
choreographies as well. The whole experience is exciting and
you always feel right at home! Beautiful costumes, jewelry
and accessories are also available for purchase making
Sasha's studio a one-stop belly-dance extravaganza! To

Sol Y Sombra
Spanish Dance Company Sol Y Sombra Spanish Dance Co. was established over 17
years ago to promote the exciting art of Spanish music and
dance. Under the artistic direction of Maria Loreta, the
company presents programs of traditional flamenco, Latin
American and Spanish classical music and dance for concert
series, arts in education programs, colleges, libraries and
cultural centers.
In recognition of its quality, value and achievements, Sol y
Sombra has been the recipient of numerous grants from the
New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization program,
the Nassau County Office of Cultural Development, the
Suffolk County Office of Cultural Affairs and JP Morgan
Chase Bank.
