North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center, founded in 1953,
is the leading children's mental health agency on Long
Island providing an extensive and comprehensive range of
mental health services for children, youth, and families
regardless of income.
Our staff is composed of expert, highly-trained, experienced
social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and alcohol
and drug counselors who provide diagnosis and treatment for
children, youth, and families offering individual, group,
and family therapy; substance abuse treatment; and well as
advocacy and case management services. In addition to these
core services, we also offer a variety of community
services, programs, and educational counseling groups geared
to special life situations.
We are also a major training and consultation facility for
professionals serving children and their families, as well
as an important community resource for parents offering
education and consultation on both normal development and
crisis issues.
Berkshire Farm Center and Services For Youth
is a statewide, non-profit child welfare
agency with a 124-year history of success
working with at-risk children and their
families. Berkshire Farm Center provides
life-changing experiences for more than
3,000 children in New York State, including
Adventure Based Counseling, where youth
learn important lessons in managing life's
challenges and opportunities while building
trust and self confidence.

parents we are looking to expand our
program. We are looking for caring
individuals and families who would like to
open their homes to children in need.
