Coastal Research & Education
Society of Long Island (CRESLI) is a non-profit research and
education organization dedicated to the conservation of
whales, seals, sea turtles and other marine organisms of
Long Island. Our mission is to promote and foster understanding
and stewardship of coastal ecosystems through research
and education. CRESLI's activities include research,
education, outreach and volunteer programs.
Get your boating and
personal watercraft certification (license) in one day
or two evenings. Choose from classes in Freeport, Oyster
Bay, Riverhead, Babylon, Amityville and many other sites
in Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan- or
have a private class in the privacy of your own home.
This class covers everything you need to get on the
water by power boat, sail or PWC/Jetski including
navigation, rules of the road, personal watercraft, safe
operation, emergencies among many other things you need
to know by law and for the safety of your vessel, your
passengers and your own personal safety. You'll receive
a waterproof plastic Certification card from the State
of New York upon successful completion of this course
which is called by most a "boating and personal
watercraft license". You will leave this class with your
boating certificate (a/k/a license) in-hand and its good
for life! Our classes are taught by USCG licensed Master
Captains and Certified New York State Instructors with
years of teaching experience. Classes running weekly
throughout the boating season.
In an effort to systematically educate and
convey the legal terminology, concepts and clauses contained within the
ever changing framework of the New York State Notary Public Study Guide,
Notary Public Training Courses are offered to all individuals interested
in pursuing this area of Public Office. Most of these classes are
conducted at organizations and privately throughout the New York area.
