Grateful Greyhounds
Grateful Greyhounds, Inc., is a non-profit volunteer-run
organization helping to rescue greyhounds, rehabilitate and
place them into loving homes. We raise awareness of the
plight of the racing greyhound, and participate in various
community outreach programs. Grateful Greyhounds serves NYC, Long Island,
Westchester/Rockland Counties, and some parts on New Jersey.
Grateful Greyhounds is a
non-profit, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to educating the
public about ex-racing greyhounds as well as placing them
into suitable and loving homes. Grateful Greyhounds is proud
to be one of the organizations that was able to step up and
help out the hounds needing rescue from the Guam Race Track.
The situation was horrendous and thanks to all those
involved for helping out, either by sending money or taking
in greyhounds or both.
We are very dedicated to
helping find suitable and loving homes for ex-racing
greyhounds. We spend a good deal of time educating potential
adopters at meet-n-greets, conducting home visits and
offering support post adoption through our talented team of
Adoption Reps. GG prides itself on our relationships with
other greyhound organizations working very closely with
these other groups in an effort to help more ex-racing
greyhounds. Think about...doesn't that just make sense? We
love the breed and will do whatever it takes to help out the
ex-racing greyhound. The GG Board is a group of individuals
with a common interest, to help out the ex-racer. We are
volunteers and, more importantly, friends. We love what we
do and look forward to many years of offering our expertise
and support to new (and not so new) adopters. Thank you for
