Workshop Class Series: Intro to Green Woodworking at Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead, Long Island, New York.
Beginning January 2014: Green Woodworking Class series with Tom Barry. Learn how to use old-fashioned tools to shape wood into a functional piece in this hands-on two-hour workshop. Participants will utilize a shavehorse and a springpole lathe and learn about the time-honored traditions of creating wooden tools by hand. Participants will take a finished piece home with them. Class size is limited and includes instruction, materials and access to tools. Age 16 and up.
