Little Sprouts
Ages 3+4
Weekdays 9:00AM-12:00PM
July 3 - August 19, 2017
Children in the Little Sprouts program are fully toilet-trained 3 and 4-year-olds. Children enrolled in Little Sprouts will plant, harvest and eat fresh vegetables and fruits, explore the grounds of the manor, have both story time and arts and crafts, engage in free-play and age-appropriate games, in addition to snack time and yoga. They will also help prepare a dish for the end-of-the-week pot luck lunch, to which they are all invited. 12 children per day maximum enrollment.
$75.00 per day. You may register by the day or the week, although we encourage full-week registration in order to establish a routine for your child. Please call the office for individual day sign-ups 631-749-0626.
Young Farmers
Ages 5-7

Each week children will engage in a variety of activities that include farming basics, local history, arts, environmental science, sustainability, and the growing, harvesting and preparation of local foods. 18 children per day maximum enrollment. $385.00 per week; full week registration only.
Summer Youth Programs at Sylvester Manor Educational Farm
Summer is a wonderful time to experience all that Sylvester Manor has to offer, and we hope that you will consider enrolling your child in one of our two youth programs. Children participating in the youth programs at the Manor will plant and harvest vegetables, prepare and cook dishes using the produce they have grown, feed and care for the various livestock kept on the Manor property, and learn about the environment and history of Sylvester Manor in addition to engaging in daily art, music and yoga activities.
The 2017 Summer Youth Programs will run from Monday, July 3 - Friday, August 19, 2017. Program hours are from 9:00AM-12:00PM. Drop off and pick up will take place at the Farmstand on Manwaring Road. Each child must bring a small backpack containing a water bottle clearly labeled with his or her name, an extra change of clothes and a healthy snack in a reusable container. (No candy or chips please.) You will be notified by email if the programs are cancelled due to inclement weather. Please be aware that no refunds are made in the event of weather-related closings.
All program participants are invited to participate in a weekly potluck lunch at the Sunflower Barn immediately following the program dismissal on Friday afternoons. Please note that no refunds will be made after July 2, 2017. |
