Description: |
85th Annual Huntington Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Patrick's Day Parade 2019 starting at the Huntington Train Station in Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Grand Marshal: Eugene Cook.
This year the Huntington AOH is proud to announce that our longtime member Timothy Rossiter will lead the 85th Huntington St. Patrick's Day Parade as our Grand Marshal. A Past President of our organization, Timothy is President of Rossiter Financial Group, Inc. On parade day, Timothy will proudly lead the line of march past thousands of spectators along New York Avenue and Main Street.
The Huntington St. Patrick’s Parade is Long Island's oldest and largest, and features dozens of pipe bands, including some of the metro area’s finest. Few realize the expense to run such a major event, which includes band sponsorship fees, insurance and advertising. Some mistakenly believe the Town runs and pays for the parade; it does not. The Huntington Ancient Order of Hibernians has organized and paid all of the costs of this wonderful parade every year since 1930 (there were no parades during WWII).
The AOH raises the funds through a special St. Patrick's Day journal which will be published in The Long Islander newspaper on March 7, 2019. The Long Islander pull-out special section contains all the parade specifics, a history of the parade and lots of pictures from past parades, along with advertisements paid for by our generous sponsors. We are hoping you will consider taking out an ad in this special journal insert to help us out. Ad costs can run as low as $75.00 for a small ad, to $1,000.00 for a full page.
See the link above to order your ad today. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated.

Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity
The Ancient Order of Hibernians is a Catholic, Irish American Fraternal Organization founded in New York City 4 May,1836. The Order can trace its roots back to a parent organization, of the same name, which has existed in Ireland for over 300 years. However, while the organizations share a common thread, the North American A.O.H. is a separate and much larger organization. |
