Lenten Retreat 2017 Prayer and Mysticism In The Orthodox Church at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of East Meadow in East Meadow, Nassau County, Long Island, New York.
Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of East Meadow will host a Lenten Retreat "Prayer and Mysticism in the Orthodox Church" on Saturday, April 1, 2017. The Very Rev. Vasilios Bassakyros will speak on the power of prayer and his experience living with the monks at Saint Catherine's Monastery located on Mount Sinai in Egypt. The retreat is preceded by the Divine Liturgy at 10 AM and lunch at 12 PM. The lecture runs 1:00PM-5:00PM. A light meal will be served at 5:00PM and Vespers (evening prayer) will be held at 6:00PM. Admission is free. Holy Trinity is located at 369 Green Avenue in East Meadow. Includes documentary, lecture and meals before and after the retreat.
