Holocaust Memorial Tolerance Center of Nassau County Volunteer Information Session at Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County in Glen Cove, Long Island New York.
Do you want to make a difference in the lives of Long Island students and others in your community? The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center (HMTC) is looking for new volunteers to become educators and docents. Find out more about how to become a volunteer at HMTC at the new volunteer information session on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
Museum docents and Holocaust educators are committed to Holocaust and Tolerance education. Docents are needed every day of the week to provide students and unscheduled visitors with tours of the museum. They may also be asked to help with providing visitors with information, checking them in and to help with other duties as assigned.
HMTC also needs volunteers to help with special events and programs. We need assistance with set-up, clean-up, registration, logistics and greeting. Most special events take place on evenings and weekends. There are also opportunities for volunteers to help with special projects such as outreach or grant-writing. We are also looking for high school and college students to intern with the education and development departments. |
