Long Island Concert Orchestra Debut Concert Celebrating Hometown Heroes at Hecksher Park in Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
The Islip Arts Council and Long Island Concert Orchestra (LICO), David Stewart Wiley, Principal Conductor, will present their upcoming Annual Concert in the Park, and the ensemble's debut concert, Celebrating Hometown Heroes. This event will also include Fireworks by Grucci.
This program features two World Premieres, Rey Burns's American Tapestry and David Winkler's Festival Fanfare, along with Bernstein/Mason selections from West Side Story, Gustav Holst's Mars from The Planets, Copland's Hoedown from Rodeo, Dvorak's Finale from Symphony No 9 from the new world, Armed Forces Salute, arr. Lowden, Sousa's El Capitan march and The Stars and Stripes Forever, Rossini's Allegro from Overture to William Tell, Richard Rodgers Hymn Of Victory, John Williams's A Prayer for Peace and other selections.
