American Chamber Ensemble Presents 50th Anniversary Season Opening Concert at Hofstra University Monroe Lecture Center in Hempstead, Nassau County, Long Island, New York.
The critically-acclaimed American Chamber Ensemble will perform the first concert of its 50th anniversary season. Guest Artists will be clarinetist Stanley Drucker, soprano Donna Balson and flutist Tia Roper. Ms. Balson will present a pre-concert lecture at 2:30 PM that day in Monroe Lecture Center Theater.
Selections will include Ravel's La flute enchantee, Saint Saen's Une flute invisible, Andre Previn's The Giraffes Go to Hamburg, Luigi Bassi’s Concert Fantasy on motives from Verdi's Rigoletto, Ponchielli’s Il Covegno and Arensky's Piano Trio in d minor. ACE performers will be pianist Blanche Abram, clarinetist Naomi Drucker and pianist Marilyn Lehman, with violinist Eriko Sato and cellist Chris Finckel. |
