Dr. Loong returns the next morning with a family and children’s music enrichment program, A Musical Morning with Chet-Yeng Loong, on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Both interactive shows will take place at the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AUPAC), Recital Hall, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY.

Chet-Yeng Loong, Ph.D., who specializes in early childhood music education and improving musical literacy in schools, will present an interactive experience for children ages 3 – 10 and their parents. Children will also be introduced to a variety of musical instruments. Adelphi students pursuing a B.S. in music education will assist in entertaining and teaching in an intimate setting on October 10 and 11. The Department of Music at Adelphi is firmly committed to the teaching of excellence in all areas of music and music education, encompassing current practices and trends. The University offers a wide range of opportunities for musical and intellectual growth at the highest level for its students and surrounding communities.

Chet-Yeng Loong, Ph.D. is certified in all levels of both Kodály and Orff-Schulwerk. She has presented at local, state, regional, national and international conferences.
