Guitar Extravaganza Special Event for Guitar Enthusiasts at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center in Dix Hills, Long Island, New York.
This concert is a milestone event for all guitar aficionados. The Guitar Extravaganza provides guitar enthusiasts with a special event hand-tailored just for them. The performance features all aspects of the guitar; you will be dazzled by technical precision, seduced by beautiful melodies and excited by the swinging sounds of jazz. Have no concern on this winter evening, the temperature will be rising as small groups, guitar ensembles, guitar orchestras, vocalists and the Tony Mottola Recording Ensemble will keep raising the thermostat. This is the second concert dedicated to the greatest jazz music instructors in the Northeast. We will be celebrating: Dennis Sandole, Adolph Sandole, Sal Salvador, Billy Bauer and Allan Hanlon. Invitations have been sent to representatives of each family. Hear their exciting music, now for the first time seeing the light of day after not being performed in over 40 years. There will be a special tribute to Johnny Smith who recently passed away. After the concert, enjoy viewing rare manuscripts, original memorabilia, exciting classic jazz guitars and various other classic jazz instruments in a free Meet-the-Artist-Reception. Students, educators, professionals, and members of the music industry will have the opportunity to socialize and network after the concert. This will be an extraordinary evening under the direction of Prof. Peter Rogine, who will ensure you of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
