Description: |
Steve Adelson is one of the premier Chapman Stick players in the world. Using a revolutionary tapping technique, he has played to enthusiastic audiences worldwide including Istanbul, Tokyo, Montreal, Kauai, Montreal and all over the US. He has five recordings as a leader with all star supporting musicians including Larry Coryell, Tony Levin, Jerry Marotta, Dean Brown and Chieli Minucci.
Steve has also performed with legends Les Paul, Stanley Jordan, Danny Gottlieb, Jeff Berlin and countless others. Mel Bay Publications released Mr. Adelson's Stick method book/DVD titled "Stickology, A Guide To Playing The Chapman Stick". And TrueFire Video offers Steve's 2DVD tutorial "Ultimate Stick". Mr. Adelson has written for Twentieth Century Guitar magazine as well as DownBeat, Guitar Player and JazzImprov. He owns The Guitar Workshop music School in Brooklyn, NY. Steve also is producer of The Long Beach (NY) Jazz Festival. |
