Garvies Point Museum located in Glen Cove, NY will be participating in Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day Live! event on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Over 1,400 participating museums all over the USA open their doors free of charge for this one day to emulate Smithsonian's free admission policy. Only participants with a Museum Day Live! ticket will be granted free admission. Tickets are available online at www.smithsonianmagazine.com/museumday and one ticket is good for two people per household.
In the spirit of Smithsonian Museums, who offer free admission everyday, Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day. |
