A Simple Toy Can Make a Difference to a Child This Season.
Lighthouse Community Church is hosting our annual Toy Drive and Gift Wrapping Party on Saturday, December 13, 2014 3:00PM-6:00PM for Project Redirect, a long island not-for-profit agency providing homeless families with transitional housing.
Spread some Holiday cheer to children in need this year. When children who become homeless are shuffled from one shelter to another, toys are often left behind or get lost in the move. Your donated toys will be personally delivered to a homeless child right here on Long Island. Project Redirect has been serving Long Island's homeless by offering safe, supportive transitional housing and assisting them in finding permanent housing, employment and the opportunity to support themselves on their own. How you can help:
- Donate a new, unrwrapped toy for a child ages 1-17
- Join us anytime on Saturday, December 13, 2014 3:00PM-6:00PMto help wrap donated toys
- Donate towards the cause
Drop off on Sundays 10:00AM-1:00PM at 562 Broad Hollow Road, Melville NY (just one mile south of I-495 on route 110 at the intersection of Walt Whitman Road).
