Huntington Jewish Community Holocaust Memorial Service at Huntington Jewish Center in Huntignton Long Island, New York. Speaker: Dr. Moshe Avital, Survivor of Buchenwald and Auschwitz.
Please join us as we host the annual Huntington Community Holocaust Memorial Service. Our speaker will be Dr. Moshe Avital who has a remarkable story to tell. After surviving six concentration camps, his ship was intercepted by the British as he made his way to to Palestine.
After imprisonment in a detention camp, he joined the HaGanah and fought in the War of Liberation as well as in 1956. Join with us and bear witness to this compelling testimony from one of a small group of living survivors. The service is co-sponsored by Kehillath Shalom Synagogue and Temple Beth El. A collation by Sisterhood will follow the service.
