A Mother's Kiss
Dedicated To The Families of Childhood Cancer Patients Since 1994
A Mother's Kiss is a not-for-profit organization formed for the purpose of providing emotional and financial support to the families of childhood cancer patients in the Long Island area. Since 1994 we have been helping these special families any way we can. By working in cooperation with the Pediatric Oncology departments at our partner hospitals, we are able to develop a team approach to helping the families. Please be aware that although there are many families afflicted with many different types of illnesses, A Mother’s Kiss focuses solely on children with pediatric cancers.
A Mother's Kiss is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit all volunteer organization formed for the purpose of providing emotional and financial support to the families of childhood cancer patients in the Long Island and Metro-New York area.
Since 1994 it has been our goal to help these very special families on both an emotional and financial level. The initial diagnosis of pediatric cancer can set a young family into a tailspin. Aside from the fears associated with the sickness, families are forced to make very difficult decisions. One parent will often need to leave their job to care for the child in this very crucial time. Family finances and emotional strengths are tested to the limit.
We understand because we bring a unique understanding to the families that we help. The officers and board members of A Mother's Kiss have all experienced the trials and tribulations associated with childhood cancer. Many of us have known the agony of losing a child along the way. Others must endure the ever stressful possibility of relapse years after treatment. We understand. Our volunteers are the best. The volunteers of A Mother's Kiss desire to increase awareness of the ordeal of childhood cancer while simultaneously raising funds to help families and further research.
