Spooky Fest 2014 Halloween Fun Adventure at Center for Science Teaching and Learning
The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) celebrates Halloween with Spooky Fest. This family friendly event will takes place the last two weekends in October 6:30PM-9:30PM at the Tanglewood Preserve in Rockville Centre, Nassau County, Long Island, New York. Sixteen acres is transformed into a family friendly, Halloween event.

Wooded paths, exhibits, and festivities on the preserve will be featured, with eerie lighting, special effects, and characters along the way. Everything is perfectly spooky and a little scary. Creatures of all kinds inhabit the woods, the strange and beautiful will draw you into the eerie paths.
Admission
$10.00 for kids 8 years and under; $15.00 for ages 9 years and older. No advanced registration or ticket sales available. Group rates not available. Admission includes:
- First 200 kids get a free goody bag each night, while supplies last
- A fun not-so-spooky walk in the woods for young children
- A scary walk through haunted woods for older kids and adults
- Kids arts and crafts area
- Amazing animals live animal exhibit
- The mystic den
- The maze of zombies
- Friendly merry monsters

The Center for Science Teaching and Learning or CSTL, is situated within Tanglewood Preserve—a nature preserve in Rockville Centre, NY. Our mission is simple: to encourage science learning and literacy in everyone, children as well as adults. CSTL is a 501(C3) nonprofit organization that is operated by a passionate, intelligent, and highly qualified staff that includes scientists, certified teachers, former school administrators, and skilled artists and craftsman. These professionals are dedicated to incorporating each of the three basic core sciences—biology, chemistry, and physics—into an experience in a way that engages people, making learning a real adventure.
Awaken your students' natural curiosities on a field trip to the preserve, complete with rolling greens, a wide array of local flora and fauna, and bubbling streams. Get hands-on with unique and exotic animals during one our live animal presentations and take a tour of our on-site zoo during your next birthday party. Spend a relaxing day here with your family or coordinate with us to create an educational experience that meets specific learning goals for your kids or students. CSTL has programs for youth of any age, from our Tiny Tot’s Learning Workshops and Nature's Kids Nursery School, to summer camps for children as old as 15.
