Annual Seatuck Spooktacular Halloween Celebration. USATF-certified 5K Run/Walk through the scenic Hamlet of Islip. Run in costume; prizes for the best. This event will help raise funding and awareness for Seatuck's work to foster a love of the environment for people of all ages. Start/finish at the Suffolk County Environmental Center. USATF certified 5K Run/Walk through the scenic Hamlet of Islip. Rain or shine.
About Seatuck Environmental Association
The Seatuck Environmental Association is a not-for-profit, member-supported, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting the conservation of Long Island wildlife and environment. Charles D. Webster and a host of prominent New York conservationists incorporated the organization in 1989. It was founded to continue work of the Seatuck Research Program (SRP), an un-incorporated partnership that had been formed in 1980 to conduct research on and around the Seatuck National Wildlife Refuge in Islip, New York. |
