Smartphone Film Project Workshop 2015 Long Island presented by Southampton Youth Bureau and Southampton Multimedia Center at The Flanders Community Center in Flanders, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
On Saturday, October 10, 2015 the Southampton Youth Bureau and Southampton Multimedia Center will be offering a film making workshop 10:00AM-5:30PM. Students will learn how to use their smartphones to create and edit professional quality video. Video projects can be posted on social media and potentially be aired on local television. A $10.00 registration fee includes lunch and admission to the workshop. The program will be held at the Flanders Community Center, 655 Flanders Road. Registration deadline is Monday October 5, 2015. Southampton Youth Bureau
The Southampton Youth Bureau provides positive youth development and early intervention services that support young people so that they achieve their potential at school, work and beyond. Together with other town departments, schools, and community participants, they offer teens the chance to:
- Develop job and general life skills
- Earn community service credit
- Provide ongoing input regarding their beliefs, habits, interests and concerns through the Teen Assessment Survey
- Access low-cost transportation
- Enjoy two youth-oriented facilities open 3-4 days per week, 3-6 hours per day
- Participate in trips, programs, and activities locally and throughout the region after school and on weekends
- Assist in the governance of their community through the Youth Board, Youth Court and Youth Advisory Committee |
