Muttontown Horseman's Association Annual Equine Festival 2016 at Muttontown Preserve in Muttontown, Nassau County, Long Island, New York.
Muttontown Horseme's Association's Annual Equine Festival will take place at the beautiful Muttontown Preserve on Sunday, May 22, 2016 12:00PM-4:00PM. This event features many of Long Island's prominent equestrians. The festivities open with the award winning Spirit of Long Island mounted drill team and the Rough Rider Cavalry. Outdoor family fun with pony rides and equine demonstrations. Free snacks and hot dogs for the kids.
The event will showcase several demonstrations including Polo by Meadowbrook Polo Club, Natural Horsemenship by Sonny Garguilo and Hunter/Jumper Demo by Cindy Laskow. Uncle Carmine's Traveling Zoo, pony rides, face-painting, games and treats will all delight children. This event is to enlighten and educate the public about the equine community on Long Island and bring people to the beautiful Muttontown Preserve. Last year's event was attended by over 500 people and various groups, from horse rescues to the Long Island Chapter of the Greenbelt. We are thrilled that these same groups are present this year and that event continues to grow. We look forward to an even larger turnout this year and as always it is free to everyone.
