Pour The Core Hard Cider Festival Fall 2015 at Calverton Links Golf Course in Calverton, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
With the renewed interest in eating and drinking local, it is no wonder that ciders are following in the wildly popular footprints of craft beer, and often compared to wine. This event will showcase the finest locally-produced and internationally-sourced ciders ā€“ more than 30 in all being sampled among the fall foliage of Calverton Links. The event will feature local favorites, best-selling U.S. produced ciders (including Woodchuck and Angry Orchard), and a variety of imported ciders and perries from England, Ireland and Sweden (like Strongbow and Rekorderlig).
The event will take place outdoors under tents, rain or shine (no refunds). Food (not included in ticket price) will be available for purchase from a variety of food trucks. Plenty of free parking will be available to all attendees. However, those looking for a safe and affordable ride to and from the event can contact festival partner, Late Night Chauffeurs, to inquire about booking a designated driver¯ at 631-601-7503.
There will also be live music performed by Dan Donnelly and special seminars about cider, the making of cider, and the enjoyment of cider. The event will help raise funds for the non-profit organization, KiDS NEED MoRE. A sell-out is expected so buy your tickets early. Once the event sells out, no additional tickets will be available.
General admission tickets are $40.00. Tickets can be purchased online at PourTheCore.com/Brooklyn. Tickets include admission to the festival, a souvenir tasting glass and the freedom to enjoy samples from any participating exhibitor. Designated Driver tickets are available for $10.00. A DD ticket holder will get a bottle of water upon entering the festival. Designated drivers do not receive a tasting glass and are not permitted to sample any of the beverages at the event.
No one under 21 will be admitted. Only those 21+ with valid photo ID will be admitted. No exceptions. This includes designated drivers who must be 21+ to attend. Proper identification is the responsibility of the attendee. Failure to present proper, valid photo identification (driver's license or passport) will result in denial of entry with no refund offered. For the safety of everyone at the festival, no infants, children, strollers, or pets will be allowed. Please plan accordingly. |
