Description: |
Our Lady of Grace Church would like to invite you to participate in our 50th anniversary and founders garden dedication parade. For This special event the Parade Committee selects bands from across the immediate area to apply for participation in our festival. The top applicants (including our outstanding local high school bands) are invited to "show their stuff" in this special celebration.
In addition to bands, our Parade will features nearly 10 floats, along with many wonderful entries including a classic car procession, and local civic groups marching with there banners. The parade will conclude at our Church property where we will then open our festivities with our Founders Garden dedication. There will be awards and prizes for various categories.
We are very proud to offer a well organized and professional parade experience. Our line-up areas and parade route are staffed by competent and helpful parade marshals, and our on-site parade chairmen are the very dedicated to making this the ultimate parade experience.
This parade and festival is recreating a tradition held in the town of Babylon which was started by the Van-Bourgondien's in the 1940's and 1950's. Tulips and community participation was a major part of our local history and we are trying to recreate the experience. |
