Summer of Science: Salt Marsh Scientists by Ward Melville Heritage Organization at Ernst Marine Conservation Center Stony Brook Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Summer science program for ages 13-17. July 30 2018 - August 3 2018 10:00AM-1:00PM. Aspire to be an expert of the Salt Marsh.
Guided by local marine scientists, participants will conduct scientific research monitoring birds, crabs and plants in the heart of an 88-acre wetland preserve at West Meadow Creek, Stony Brook. Along with discovering the populations, communities and biodiversity of the marsh, we’ll observe concepts like zonation, and learn about what we can do to protect the marsh. Participants will also learn about the diverse field of science related to protecting marine life. For ages 13-17.
Fee: $265.00 for the week. Register by March 30 for the Early Bird rate-$250. Sibling rate: $240 (minimum 10 participants, maximum 15.
