Having completed another successful year end celebration of Festival of the Arts 2016 the Gold Coast Arts Center's invites your child to be creative and innovative over the summer in their specialty summer camps. Summer Arts(TM) brings fun and creative experiences to children of all ages. With activities like cartooning, chess camp, music, 3D Arts and so much more the GCAC is offering specialty camps taught by top artists and performers 9:00AM-3:00PM at 113 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck, NY 11021. Crafts Camp

Acting for Film

Drawing and Painting

Will allow them to have fun with their art using inspiration from nature and the world around them.

Parents can also choose any 2 weeks of the 6 offered in Ceramics Camp (July 5th-August 12th) where children will learn hand-building, sculpture and innovative glazing techniques and for the younger kids (pre-K through 6th grade) there's also Half-Day Junior Camp where daily activities include art, dance, music and much more. It seems there's a creative activity for just about any child willing to try something new or continue to pique their interest and develop their skills. With such a wide array of fun, engaging, and stimulating Summer Arts Camps at the Gold Coast Arts Center this July and August (on weekdays 9:00AM-3:00PM), every child will be thrilled with the new skills they learn and imaginative ways they can develop their talents while having fun and making friends along the way.
The Gold Coast Arts Center School for the Arts offers an exciting range of classes each semester for students of all ages and abilities. Classes include:
- Art: Drawing, painting, cartooning, collage, sculpture
- Ceramics
- Dance: Ballet, hip-hop, tap, modern
- Theater: Musical theater, improve, acting

The Gold Coast Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts through education, exhibition, performance and outreach. For over 20 years we have brought the arts and arts in education experiences to tens of thousands of people throughout the region through our 1) School for the Arts, which offers year-round classes in all visual and performing arts to students of all ages and abilities, (2) Free public art gallery, (3) Concert and lecture series, (4) Outreach programs, which each year bring artist residencies, after-school programs, school assemblies, teacher training workshops and parent-child workshops to students, senior citizens, teachers and others in schools and in underserved communities throughout our region, (5) Year round film screening and discussion series and (6) Gold Coast International Film Festival, in its 5th year this past Fall. The Arts Center is an affiliate of the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts: Partners in Education Program and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. |
