Join us for an adventurous week exploring Long Island's marine habitats. Our marine instructors will guide your child through interactive, hands-on learning experiences designed to be educational and fun. Campers will discover the amazing creatures living in our local oceans, bays, and salt marshes as they handle marine animals in our touch tanks, participate in beach activities and games, seine in our salt marsh, and make fun marine crafts. The multiple sessions are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-2:00PM at SCMELC (Cedar Beach, Southold, NY) July 6 - August 14, 2015.
Shark Week

Marine Mammals Week

Whales, seals and dolphins. Join us for an adventurous week exploring Long Island's marine habitats while concentrating on Marine Mammals. Our marine instructors will guide your child through interactive, hands-on learning experiences designed to be educational and fun. Includes Atlantis Marine World Marine Mammal Exploration Trip.
Marine Discovery Program

Ages 6-8 - $160.00 - 4 Day Program
A week-long summer marine experience! Your child will learn about Long Island's unique marine environment. Children will have fun with marine crafts, beach games, and interaction with live marine animals in our touch tanks. Animals include sea stars, horse- shoe crabs and marine snails. Week is filled with fun activities such as seining, beach games and marine crafts. Children will:
- Go seining
- Beach games
- Interact with live marine animals
- Catch fiddler crabs
- Study hermit crabs
- Marine crafts
Summer Marine Experience Ages 8-12

Ages 8-12 - $160.00 - 4 Day Program
A unique week-long summer marine experience. Children will learn about Long Island's marine environment. They will discover the plants and animals of Peconic Bay and explore a 70-acre salt marsh. This program is for children extremely interested in marine science. Children will:
- Dissect sharks or squid
- Build crab traps
- Learn geocaching
- Use GPS units
- Seining
- Build an underwater ROV
Summer Marine Experience Ages 6-8

Ages 6-8 - $200.00 - 5 Day Program
A week-long summer marine experience! Your child will learn about Long Island's unique marine environment.
