The Kiwanis Club of West Hempstead will be honoring veterans at their 18th annual dinner on Tuesday, September 11, 2013 7:00PM-9:30PM at The Pompei Restaurant, 401 Hempstead Avevue, West Hempstead.
There will be special presentations to honor those who supported us for our freedoms. This program was so moving and uplifting at last year's dinner that it was worthy of a repeat commemoration of the sacrifice and commitment of our service personnel said John Mc Auliffe, a Kiwanis member.
The unlimited dinner buffet consists of salad, meatballs, various pastas, dessert and coffee. There will also be raffles with some great prizes. In addition, there will be music during dinner for your listening pleasure.
The West Hempstead Kiwanis Club has donated money from past activities to send needy children to camp, endowed scholarship funds for West Hempstead High School students, donated funds for
The West Hempstead Middle Schools Library and supported The Long Island Leukemia Society as well as the The American Cancer Society. This year a portion of the money raised will be used to support local charities.

Tickets for the dinner and program for the all you can eat dinner are only $30 per person (including tax and tip) and are available to the general public. This will be a unique opportunity to socialize with your friends and neighbors from the community. The Kiwanis Club of West Hempstead looks forward to seeing you at this year's pasta dinner.
