Are you an art lover? Looking for original handmade art to enrich your home, workplace and life? Then join us and our visiting artisans on May 27-29, 2016 on the Village Green in Montauk for the 8th Annual Memorial Day Weekend on the Montauk Green art show. Begin summer by finding or commissioning a new piece of art to inspire you. The event is produced by the non-for-profit Montauk Artists Association and features the original handmade artwork by 60 artists from across Long Island and throughout the United States.
Over Memorial Day Weekend the Montauk Village Green becomes an outdoor gallery of original, handmade art by artisans from across America. Through their extraordinary vision, talent and skills the artisans weave a tapestry of art from remarkable creations in painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography, glass, ceramics along with mixed media, woodworking and more. If you do not find what you want, commission a piece made specifically for you.
All artisans are available throughout the show. This affords you the unique opportunity to talk with each artist personally, learn how they came to their art form, how they are inspired and what materials were used in creating your pieces. This knowledge and interaction adds inestimable value to your new artwork. The event is directed by the not-for-profit Montauk Artists' Association. Be open to the sense of wonder and beauty in what you will discover and most importantly, what you will learn of yourself in the process. |
