Description: |
Bethpage Federal Credit Union's Global Explorations: Ceremonial Masks and Figural Sculpture of the Dogon peoples of Mali at Emily Lowe Gallery at Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island, New York.
This popular program continues with explorations of the worldâ's diverse cultures through the study and discussion of authentic objects and works of art thematically selected from the HUM collections. Kristy Caratzola, the Museum's collections manager (who is also an adjunct professor of art history) leads each hour-long session where participants explore a different facet of selected cultures each month. Participants are enriched by the in-depth presentations and enjoy the discussions that develop from personal observations about the cultures and objects presented.
