Bideawee invites artists grades 1-12 to participate in the organization's 7th annual "Love Your Pet Art Contest and Expo" All are encouraged to use their artistic talent to express their love for animals. This year, Bideawee has created a new, online photography and video contest for High School students.
Students grades 1-8 can submit artwork representing any medium (drawings, paintings, sculptures, etc.). All artwork must be mailed or dropped off at the Adoption Center at Bideawee located at 118 Old Country Road, Westhampton, NY 11977 9:00AM-5:00PM daily, before February 1, 2015.
Students grades 9-12 are invited to submit photography and video for Bideawee's new online contest. Students can enter photos and video rom January 2, 2015 - February 1, 2015. Photography and video specifications are listed on the website.
The first 300 art entries from grades 1-8 will be displayed at Bideawee's Art Expo for viewing by the public at select times from February 9-15, 2015. Winners will be determined by public vote. A $5.00 donation will grant entrance into the show and help continue to care for the pets in need at Bideawee.
The online photography and video entries from grades 9-12 will be displayed at www.bideawee.org from February 9-15, 2015. ll are invited to visit the website to vote for your favorites.
All winners will be announced on February 16th. Prizes will be awarded in groupings based on children's grade year in school: 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-8th and 9th-12th. Winning students from both the Expo and online contest will receive Gift Cards from our supporters: Target, Splish Splash, Tanger Outlets, Dave and Busters and more.
