Savage Sounds Recordings is offering a music summer camp for children, 6-12 who want to enjoy music in a fun, unique way while also learning the essentials of music theory, musicianship and recording technology. Your child will engage in formal music instruction initially taught on recorder flutes (which students will keep and take home) as well as instruction on guitar, keyboard and percussion. Additionally, your child will participate in unique music-centric games that are not only tons of fun, but also reinforce the learning. Last (but not least) your child will break into small groups to form their own "mini-band" and learn and record their favorite songs. All of this takes place in our 2000 square foot recording facility on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead, New York. Activities will be videotaped so that you and your child can enjoy and reflect on their musical experience. The video will be provided on DVD along with a CD of the music your child records during the camp.
