Sounds of Silence Paddle Out Fundraiser For Postpartum Resource Center of New York at Gilbert Park in Brightwaters, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Please note: Registration is limited to 125 participants. Join us to help break the silence for pregnancy and postpartum depression awareness by participating in the first Sounds of Silence Paddle Out event - a 3 mile paddle out to Great South Bay Bridge and back starting from Gilbert Park in Brightwaters, New York. Sponsored by South Shore PaddleBoards. 3 mile paddle out to Great South Bay Bridge and back. Kayakers invited to participate. Pre-race Breakfast and Event Shirt included with Registration.
Registration Requirements
Event open to ages 16 and older
Each paddler age 18 years and older is required to raise at least $300.00
Each paddler age 16-17 years old is required to raise at least $100.00

Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders Support and Education
The Postpartum Resource Center of New York, Inc. is the nonprofit IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organization in New York State representing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders support and education. Two Long Island women, Sonia Murdock and Emily Sampino co-founded the Postpartum Resource Center of New York, Inc. in 1998 after they each experienced gaps and recognized the needs in education, treatment and support services regarding postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis. The Postpartum Resource Center of New York is a Mission Project of Westminster United Presbyterian Church in West Islip, New York. We are grateful for the support and leadership of the members of Westminster. |
