Town of Southampton Youth Bureau 2017 Summer Adventure Camp Registration at Southampton Town Hall in Southampton, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
The Southampton Youth Bureau's Summer Adventure Camp Registration begins April 3, 2017. The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau is accepting applications for their Summer Adventure Camp program at The Flanders Community Center, 655 Flanders Road. This year's theme is Science! Each week of the camp will explore a different area of science through experiments, crafts, cooking and weekly field trips. Camp begins July 5, 2017 and ends August 24, 2017 and will be held Monday-Thursday 12:30PM-5:00PM. Youth going into grades 5-8 are eligible to participate. Proof of grade is required. Camp registration fee is $550.00 / 8 weeks. Price includes cost of field trips, lunch and supplies. Enroll by Friday, April 28, 2017 for an early enrollment discount of $500.00. Town of Southampton Youth Bureau
The Youth Bureau provides positive youth development and early intervention services that support young people so that they achieve their potential at school, work and beyond. Together with other town departments, schools and community participants, they offer teens the chance to:
- Develop job and general life skills
- Earn community service credit
- Provide ongoing input regarding their beliefs, habits, interests and concerns through the Teen Assessment Survey
- Access low-cost transportation
- Enjoy two youth-oriented facilities open 3-4 days per week, 3-6 hours per day
- Participate in trips, programs and activities locally and throughout the region after school and on weekends
- Assist in the governance of their community through the Youth Board, Youth Court and Youth Advisory Committee |
