This year marks the 37th Annual Columbus Day Weekend that has celebrated the agricultural heritage of our town. As one of the largest festivals in New York State, Riverhead hosts visitors and vendors from many states throughout the country.
Take time to enjoy the works of original artists, agricultural and homemaking displays and competitions, authors, entertainers, local merchants, food, amusement rides, pony rides, business expositions and displays, and of course, more food. Covering more than 100,000 square feet, we offer something for everyone.
The Country Fair does not come to fruition without a coordinated effort of many people, starting with our dedicated and diligent Fair Committee as well as scores of volunteers whom all band together to ensure a day that is safe and enjoyable for the whole family. Excellence in service is provided by our government officials, police, ambulance, fire and highway departments, along with the Chamber of Commerce, multiple service groups, local merchants, the Riverhead Public Library, Boy Scouts, Suffolk County Historical Society, advertisers and sponsors.
Live entertainment all day, farm animals, pony rides, agriculture, homemaking, needlecraft competitions, public service area, expo 2012, vegetable decorating contest, good food of all kinds, carnival rides and midway, taste of long island farm produce, folk music and arts, garden tractor pulls, pedal tractor pulls for spectators, over 450 vendors. |
