Long Island Go Red 2015 Luncheon Charity Benefit Fundraiser at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, Nassau County, Long Island, New York.
Heart disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 4 killers of Long Island women. While 1-in-30 American women die of breast cancer, almost 1-in-3 will die from cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease causes approximately 1 death per minute among females in the US. Combining an extensive networking portion, silent auction, elegant lunch and educational program featuring renowned health presenters and moving Long Island female survivor stories, the American Heart Association Go Red for Women Luncheon is an Island-wide event open to the public.
A woman at your table will have a "heart" story. Someone in your row at the breakout session will have found a way to eat baked, not fried, for her whole family. That exercise and diet plan you've been looking for, the one that is actually doable? The woman next to you in line for coffee is going to tell you to forget diets and become a better you.
