The mission of the American Heart Association is building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Grab your heels and that little red dress, tt's time for a girls night out to raise Heart Disease Awareness.
The event will include a sit down dinner, DJ, Chinese auction, raffles and of course our annual group picture. Bring your mother, sister, daughter, girlfriend or co-worker and have a great time while showing the women in your life you care about their heart health. The proceeds from the dinner will help the American Heart Association fund life saving research for heart disease and stroke, as well as promote educational awareness in our community. Your support will help to make this event successful.
About Red Dress Dinner
The American Heart Association has partnered with founder Nancy Kouris and the Red Dress Dinner Committee to raise money and awareness for women's heart health. To raise awareness of the risk of heart disease which has become the #1 killer of women.
Nancy Kouris, founder of the event, wanted her female friends to know that heart disease is a very real danger to all of them and that they should be aware of their risk factors. Why not be informed while enjoying the company of other women in friendship and fun? This has always been the vision of the dinner. With the help of her close friends, the dinner gained popularity and has grown from a modest group of 32 women having dinner together to a major event on the East End. The American Heart Association has partnered with the local group and the dinner, which is now it its 9th year, is now an official fundraiser at the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center Sea Star Ballroomser. |
